Punakha Dzong is the most magnificent Dzong in my opinion. The Dzong, originally built in 1637 by the Great Shabdrung has stood the tests of time, and even today continues to awe all those who see it.

Punakha Dzong was built strategically at the confluence of the Pho Chhu and the Mo Chhu. It was at from this confluence that I composed this shot. It was quite a sight to see the Dzong unfold from the morning mist.
